General questions
What should I bring to my appointment?
A valid ID for age verification, snacks and drinks for longer sessions, and comfortable clothing that makes the area to be tattooed easily accessible.
Can I bring someone to my appointment?
Companions are welcome. Please check with your artist in advance whether it's okay, though – especially if you're bringing more than one person. Our waiting area is limited, so your companion may have to wait there rather than right beside you.
Are there age restrictions for tattooing?
Yes. We only tattoo clients 18 and over. There are no exceptions for minors, even with parental consent.
How do I prepare for my first tattoo?
Be well rested and hydrated, eat a proper meal before your appointment and avoid alcohol and blood-thinning medication for 24 hours beforehand. Once your appointment is confirmed, you'll receive all further details by email.
Financial questions
How much will my tattoo cost?
The cost depends on size, level of detail and placement. For an accurate quote we recommend a non-binding request with all the relevant information and photos — or a direct consultation in the studio.
Why do I have to pay a deposit?
The deposit secures your appointment and covers planning and preparation costs.
Can I get my deposit back?
If you cancel at least 72 hours before the appointment, we refund the deposit in full. For shorter-notice cancellations we retain at least €200 as a cancellation fee. No-shows without notice forfeit the full deposit. If the studio has to cancel an appointment, we refund the deposit in full. You'll find the details in our terms and conditions.
Which payment methods do you accept?
This varies from artist to artist and should be clarified with your artist in advance. As a rule, cash, PayPal or instant bank transfer are possible.
Do you offer financing?
No, we currently don't offer financing options. We recommend planning the cost in advance.
What happens if I need to cancel or reschedule?
Contact us as soon as possible. Changes must be announced at least 72 hours before the appointment, otherwise a cancellation fee may apply. With timely notice we're happy to schedule a new appointment with the same deposit.
Do you offer discounts or special deals?
Occasionally we offer specials — especially around events. Follow us on social media or subscribe to our newsletter so you don't miss anything.
Service questions
How do I choose the right artist for my tattoo?
On our website you'll find the portfolios of all our artists. Choose based on style and skill. If you're unsure, we're happy to advise you on artist selection free of charge.
How does a tattoo consultation work?
A consultation is completely non-binding for you. We discuss your ideas and wishes and find the best placement, so your artist can think through the design in peace and advise you accordingly. The finished design is not created on the consultation day itself. You'll also get a rough estimate of the cost during the conversation.
Can I change or reschedule an existing appointment?
Yes, with at least 7 days' notice. Short-notice changes can lead to forfeiture of the deposit.
When is my design created?
The design is created shortly before or on the day of the appointment. For more complex motifs multiple drafts may be necessary.
Can you rework or cover old tattoos?
Yes. Send us a picture of your existing tattoo — we'll assess the options and discuss the way forward with you.
Do you accept spontaneous walk-ins?
This rarely happens with us and is announced in advance on our social media channels. Under certain conditions a spontaneous walk-in is sometimes possible, though – best to just come in and ask.
Health & legal
What if I have an allergic reaction to the ink?
Allergic reactions are rare but possible. For symptoms like redness, itching or swelling please contact a doctor immediately and let us know.
Can I get tattooed while pregnant?
No. During pregnancy and breastfeeding we generally advise against getting a tattoo. Please wait until this period is over.
What hygiene standards do you follow?
We work to strict standards: sterile disposable materials, regular disinfection of work areas and consistent use of gloves. Our artists are trained and certified in hygiene procedures according to Hamburg hygiene standards.
Do I need parental permission if I'm under 18?
No — we only tattoo clients 18 and over. There are no exceptions for minors, even with parental consent.
Can I get a tattoo over a scar?
Yes, depending on the type and condition of the scar. Our artists will assess the scar and discuss the best approach with you.
What should I know about tattoos and skin cancer?
There is no direct link between tattoos and skin cancer. Still, check your skin regularly for changes. Tattoos can make skin examinations harder — watch out especially for irregular changes and consult a dermatologist if in doubt.
Can I get tattooed when I'm ill?
Not recommended. A weakened immune system affects healing and increases the risk of infection. Please wait until you're fully recovered.
How long does a tattoo take to heal?
The outer skin layer heals in about 2–3 weeks. Full healing of the deeper layers takes several months.
What should I avoid after my session?
Avoid direct sunlight, scratching and swimming in pools, hot tubs or natural waters until the tattoo has fully healed. Don't wear tight or chafing clothing and follow your artist's aftercare instructions. You'll find a detailed care guide in the footer at the bottom of this page.
