Terms and Conditions
Last updated: July 2026
1. Scope
These terms and conditions apply to all services and contracts between the tattoo studio Tattoo-Highlights Hamburg (hereinafter the "Studio") and the customers. By booking an appointment, the customer accepts these terms.
Provider: Alexander Demtschenko Tattoo-Highlights Borgfelder Straße 64 20537 Hamburg Germany
Individual artists may have differing terms, which will be communicated in advance.
2. Appointments & deposit
An appointment becomes binding only once a deposit has been paid. The amount of the deposit is determined individually in advance and communicated upon confirmation of the appointment. The deposit is credited towards the final price. Without a deposit, no appointment is firmly reserved.
3. Cancellation & no-show
Appointments can be rescheduled or cancelled free of charge up to 72 hours before the start. If cancellation occurs later or the customer does not show up, the deposit is forfeited in full. There is no right to a refund.
Exception without deposit: If, exceptionally, no deposit was agreed and the customer does not show up, the studio is entitled to charge a flat no-show fee of €200 afterwards. In the event of repeated no-shows, the studio may refuse future appointments.
4. Cancellation by the studio
If an appointment has to be cancelled by the studio (e.g. illness, force majeure, organisational reasons), the deposit is refunded in full or, on request, transferred to a new appointment. Further claims (e.g. travel costs or loss of earnings of the customer) are excluded.
5. Prices & payment
The prices communicated by the studio at the time apply. Outstanding balances are to be paid on the day of the appointment in cash or by the agreed payment method. All prices include statutory VAT unless stated otherwise.
6. Health & liability
The customer undertakes to inform the studio in advance of any health restrictions (e.g. allergies, skin diseases, medication, blood clotting disorders, pregnancy). The studio accepts no liability for consequences resulting from incorrect or withheld information. Aftercare instructions are available digitally on the website at any time. The customer undertakes to read and follow them independently. The studio accepts no liability for consequences resulting from inadequate aftercare. Tattoos constitute bodily harm within the meaning of § 223 of the German Criminal Code (StGB), which is rendered exempt from punishment by the customer's consent.
7. Age limit
Tattoos are generally only carried out at the studio from the age of 18. Minors are not tattooed under any circumstances, not even with parental consent.
8. Design & copyright
All drafts, sketches and drawings are the intellectual property of the studio. Their release or further use without consent is excluded. In the event of cancellation, there is no entitlement to the handover of drafts already created.
9. Ending a session early
If the customer ends a session that has begun (e.g. a full-day session) early, the time spent up to that point is deemed to have been fully rendered. The full agreed price is due, even if the session was not completed.
10. Hygiene & studio rules
Instructions from the staff must be followed. Accompanying persons are only permitted by prior arrangement. Animals and children are not allowed in the work area. Customers under the influence of alcohol, drugs or medication cannot be tattooed. In such cases the studio reserves the right to cancel the appointment; the deposit is forfeited.
11. Photo & image rights
The studio reserves the right to use photos of the tattoos created for its own advertising (website, social media, print). Personal data is not published in this context. The customer must consent to publication in writing in advance.
12. Vouchers
Vouchers are non-transferable and valid for 3 years from the date of issue (statutory limitation period). Cash payment is excluded.
13. Right of withdrawal
As this is a service in the field of body art, there is no right of withdrawal after the service has been performed pursuant to § 312g (2) no. 1 of the German Civil Code (BGB).
14. Final provisions
German law applies. Should individual provisions be invalid, the validity of the remaining provisions remains unaffected.
