Dark & Horror · Lettering
Lennart has been part of the Tattoo Highlights team in Hamburg since the very beginning. He has always been creative. Drawing has accompanied him since childhood, and over time more and more ways of expressing himself artistically came along – from classic pens and brushes to graffiti. At some point he finally discovered tattooing and found in it the perfect combination of creativity, craftsmanship and responsibility.
He loves working in dark surrealism and black & grey. He finds his inspiration in horror films, dark and surreal imagery and the metal scene. Still, he is not fixed on particular motifs. For him it is far more exciting to develop ideas together with his clients and to let something unique grow out of them. And he spares no effort in doing so.
It is especially important to him that every client feels comfortable. Many people are nervous or unsure before their appointment – especially with their first tattoo. With his calm and easy-going manner, Lennart creates a relaxed atmosphere in which you can simply be yourself. Good conversations, a pleasant mood and a tattoo you go home happy with – that is exactly what it is all about for him.
When he is not in the studio, he works as a mechanic for aircraft engines. A job that demands a great deal of precision and responsibility – qualities that also play an important role in tattooing.
There are no big stories to tell about him, really. He simply loves making art, enjoys working with people and is delighted every time an idea turns into something that someone wears with pride for a lifetime.

Lennart has been drawing since he was a child. Not cars or footballers – somehow it was always monsters, skulls and creepy creatures that ended up on his paper. Nobody taught him that. It was simply always that way.
Not much has changed to this day – except that skin has now been added.
People who meet him in person are usually surprised. Because Lennart is actually a pretty sunny guy. Looking at his tattoos, most people expect someone completely different.
He is fascinated by horror films, surreal imagery and everything that is a little different. Not necessarily because it is creepy, but because such motifs offer an incredible amount of room for creativity.
So if you are wondering whether he is as dark in private as his tattoos: don't worry. The creepy stuff only ends up on paper and skin.
