Tattoo-Highlights is a tattoo studio in Hamburg-Borgfelde, an eleven-minute walk from Berliner Tor. Since 2023, seven resident tattoo artists have worked here under one roof — focused on black & grey realism and photorealistic portraits, plus fine line, micro-realism, comic, lettering, dark & horror and cover-ups. The studio is run by A-Dem, award winner at the Empire State Tattoo Expo New York 2024. Appointments by arrangement — two thirds of our clients travel here from all over Germany.

Lennart has been part of the Tattoo Highlights team in Hamburg since the very beginning. He loves working in dark surrealism and black & grey – inspired by horror films, dark imagery and the metal scene.

Once everything is agreed we lock in the date. To secure the slot we agree on a deposit, which is credited in full towards the price on the day.
You come to the studio, we review the final design, place it — and then we tattoo.

A valid ID for age verification, snacks and drinks for longer sessions, and comfortable clothing that makes the area to be tattooed easily accessible.
Honestly: yes, it hurts. But it's bearable — in all these years nobody has stopped a session with us. How much depends on the spot (ribs, feet and inner areas are more sensitive than the upper arm or shoulder) and on how you feel that day: well rested, fed and hydrated you can take much more. For large pieces we plan breaks.
Companions are welcome. Please check with your artist in advance whether it's okay, though – especially if you're bringing more than one person. Our waiting area is limited, so your companion may have to wait there rather than right beside you.
Yes. We only tattoo clients 18 and over. There are no exceptions for minors, even with parental consent.
Be well rested and hydrated, eat a proper meal before your appointment and avoid alcohol and blood-thinning medication for 24 hours beforehand. Once your appointment is confirmed, you'll receive all further details by email.
